One True Loves* by Taylor Jenkins Reid
Preface: “True love happens only once in a lifetime. Or does it? What if true love strikes twice, and you are caught in the middle of it?”
Yeah, it’s a “chick flick” complete with a surprising twist before you’re even halfway through the book! I haven’t finished reading it yet but am expecting further surprises. However, with what I’ve read thus far, Reid wrote two sentences that have prompted me to recommend this book before I’ve even finished reading it. The first: “Travel the World by Reading a Book.” (Love it! My favorite because I’m an avid reader so feel as though I’ve traveled the world thousands of times already; and, I look forward to growing that number as long as I’m able to do so!)…and the second: “If you want something passionately, you owe it to yourself to make it happen.” (This thought parallels my belief to “Do it now”…don’t keep telling yourself that you’ll do it tomorrow, or next month, next year, or sometime, because sometime may never come.)
If you get a chance to read this book, please share your opinion/thoughts with me.
*One, singular vs. Loves, plural…I was curious about the tense of these words but once I started reading the book, it became crystal clear that Reid chose THE perfect title.
