Another “new” author to me, I was fortunate to read my first novel by Julie Garwood…HEARTBREAKER (2000)…after recently picking it up for a buck (!) at the swap meet. Sure glad I did because she’s now become one of my favorite authors, too! (And, oh, isn’t it wonderful that there are so many from which to choose?)
The first line on the back cover that hooked me was: “Bless me, [F]ather, for I will sin…” and the heartbreaker wasn’t kidding! “In the still shadows of the confessional, a madman tauntingly reveals his plan for a murder he is going to commit, pulling Father Thomas Madden into a twisted game of disclosing his next intended victim: Tom’s sister, Laurant. Definitely a piece of fiction with a good plot that does indeed “…keep you guessing until the end.” Great read…
